Shark Diving Cape Town
What to expect from our Shark Diving Cape Town trip
We meet at the Kleinbaai harbour in Gansbaai, about a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. Your trip will start off with breakfast and briefing at the crewhouse before the boat launches. The boat takes you out to Dyer Island and Geyser rock, about 10 kilometres from the harbour. The boat ride is about 20 minutes long.
Our Shark Diving cage takes up to 8 people, and you will be spending 20-30 minutes in the cage at a time. The cage is attached to the boat at all times, with a minimum of 60 centimetres above the water. The rest of the cage is submerged under water (about 2 metres deep.). Going into the Shark Dive cage is optional, if you don’t want to Shark Dive, you can still go along on the boat. There is a magnificent view from the boat, and the incredible sight seeing is pretty much part of the whole experience.
Our Shark Diving Cape Town Tour is about 6 hours long in total, of which about 3 hours is spent on sea. View the Itinerary for more details.
